MEETING WITH ABRAHAM
JANUARY 3, 1999

"EXAMPLES OF STUMBLING OVER MICHAEL"

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. What a busy time of year for all of us. It is
wonderful we connect together to remember what our focus is. Your friendship
helps me to maintain practicality in this divine ministry. No matter the level
of bliss we experience through divinity, we will always utilize our intellect
as a stabilizer. 

As I listen to your discussion regarding stumbling over Michael, I am reminded
of the many individuals who are bound by tradition. Many individuals believe
certain acts performed are sinful and unforgivable, and assume the celestial
beings are planning some sort of punishment, or what some may term ‘bad
karma.'

Michael has taught me to view all Father's children with the understanding
that mortal suffering cannot be judged by untrained individuals, no. Certain
actions taken by individuals are due to extreme pain, whether it is emotional,
mental or physical.

Those bound by traditions and churches may at times assume they are sinful
beings without hope of redemption, and will live their lives accordingly. They
could make assumptions about those on High sitting in judgement of their
mortal actions. This example we can use to define stumbling. 

Some individuals however, not affiliated with any particular church but are
spiritual, may find they can make quick assumptions of Father's will or
Michael's directions. One can ask Father or Michael for guidance, and then
modify directions, or assume they would know what He would do--they would do.
Do you see, this is how traditions are originated--this assuming Michael would
give the same directions each time.

You can ask ‘what would Jesus do,' but can you allow time for an answer, a
clear and egoless answer? Many morals are deeply feeling what they would like
to see happen in many circumstances and may act on that. This could perhaps be
termed as stumbling -- assuming divine directions is stumbling. Not embracing
the complete truth is also stumbling. All mortals will make mistakes or bad
choices in their lifetime, but there is a live line to divine direction, and
you can never be disconnected from it, unless you so choose to be.

Again this week, I ask that you continue to practice allowing the Master to
give you rest in the swim or mortal living. In this we can find clarity and
pure instructions. Your continuing efforts to maintain closeness with Him
strengthens your courage to allow self decrease and Michael to increase. 

These past many weeks, we have had lessons and serious conversations. Next
week I would ask that we have questions and comments and personal interaction,
yes. I believe this would help us to maintain practicality in our divine
learning. I shall make effort to see you during the week. As always -- my love
