Topics:            The Thought Adjuster

 

We read UB paper 107 "Origin and Nature of Thought Adjusters".  Then we went into stillness.

 

Tomas:  Good evening, friends.  This is Tomas.  The very subtle energies you feel softly centering at the area of your heart chakra system, that being the system which includes your energy vortex and the physical heart, at the very essence of its center is your Thought Adjuster, that Indwelling Fragment of the Paradise Father of which you have conversed this evening.  This is indeed a very subtle energy that you have had indwelling your physical person for as long as you can remember, so that it is indistinguishable.  It is familiar.  It has always been there.  Yet, now pause for a few moments as this energy is emphasized for you.  [Pause]

 

Even so, this energy remains very subtle to you in its nature.  It is at the center of your very yearning to reach for, to grasp, to know, to understand your origin, to return home to your Creator.  This impulse is the essence of the very existence of the Thought Adjuster.  It is what draws you.  It is what gives you the will to exist, the drive to learn more.  

 

Though your minds are unable to grasp the enormity of the definition of the Thought Adjuster, you can imagine what your life as a physical being would be without this indwelling.  It will give you a rough picture of the type of being that you would be.  You would be aimless, constantly dissatisfied, always wanting, never finding.  Your mind would not allow you to organize thought patterns that would bring you closer to the Father.  You would constantly be in search of self-gratification.

 

Selfless service to another for the sheer joy and love of the act would not be possible.  The movement toward Light and Life would not be possible.  It is by the communication of your indwelling Thought Adjusters that the movement, the breath of Spirit which compels humanity to desire the light in their lives, would be absent.  By sheer intelligence and force of will alone, the human being could not achieve Light and Life. Indeed, Urantians would have destroyed their planet by now.

 

So this gets at your question of how the Thought Adjuster helps in universe crisis.  It is this very fundamental, ancestral desire for the Thought Adjuster to eventually be able to return to its origin, fused with its companion, that creates the matrix upon which the collectivity of human thought can be organized into such a manner that whether consciously or unconsciously, the humans have a common goal.  That goal of Light and Life will be reached eventually.  This collectivity would not occur without the Thought Adjusters.

 

There is a connection here, then, with the Planetary Supreme, who is the library, the collecting point for all of these personalities who have dwelt upon Urantia to be stored; all of these energies and intentions and desires which have been influenced by millions of Thought Adjusters.   Collectively, your planet's history and destiny would be quite different without the Thought  Adjusters.
