TIMOTHY: Human Associations 101
TOMAS: Human Culture is an Interesting Study

TIMOTHY: Yes, indeed, you read me right. This is Timothy, the personal
teacher of your associate Ginny. I am glad to be here in your presence and
afford you my support as a friend and neighbor in the cause of Michael's
mission for Urantia. We here in this area have had half-hearted attempts
often and whole-hearted attempts occasionally, and even while we have not lit
up the map with our spiritual illumination, we have at least flickered
sufficiently as to give our supervisors hope of our survival and our thriving.

What you know to be true is how long it takes sometimes, frequently, for
seeds that are planted to become activated by the ideal growing conditions
that can only come about as the willingness to grow sets in. You may be met
with all manner of support and encouragement, but if you are resistant to
such, you will not benefit one iota by the attempts of those who are
interested in your welfare to help you along the path.

I am a student teacher, as it were. (I am perceiving a great deal of
background noise in this auditorium today, as if there were a parade outside
and a convention in the hallway.) We embark today on a new curriculum,
entitled "Human Associations 101". We appreciate your signing up for this
course, for truly you cannot graduate without it. Human Associations is far
more difficult than an inter-species alliance. Humans are so densely
packaged it is hard to see their essence, and while it is true that "by their
fruits they shall be known," their fruits are often mere habit, based on
morality rather than integral to their human beingness.

I am given the opportunity to convey to you that I am being tutored in this
Teacher's Assistant by Tomas who has successfully taught a course in "Fruits
of the Spirit" and the true character that is revealed in the spirit-born,
God-led individual is going to be the representation of the highest standard
of moral value and ethical judgment.

The frame of reference for "judgment" which has molded your consciousness has
been the admonition, underscored by the long-standing scriptural
indoctrination, of "Judge not, lest ye be judged." He who has self-mastery
and righteous purpose is able to see with the eye of a deity, a view far
surpassing that of the limited vision of mortality. And yet in the spectrum
of humanity, even factoring in the cultural mores, differences will appear
behind the veil of perception ~ based on the nature of that paradigm which
establishes your plateau of operation ~ by and through the accepted values of
that culture. The simple way of saying this would be, perhaps, "there is
honor among thieves." Anyone want to give a stab at what I mean by that?

THOROAH: I would guess that it's the social relationship, the society that is
formed under any umbrella. And it's honored.

TIMOTHY: Correct. And in which its own values are the ones that are regarded
as standard operating procedure. These values then are a part of the
mentality and social order of beingness that exist within that societal
grouping. Yes, these are spiritual demographics, as you indicated.

And so, barring your skill in knowing by exposure and experience what words
to use, what nuances and inflections are communications in that societal
setting in which you venture, barring your expertise in every walk of life,
you will need to begin to perceive the manner in which our Father is leading
you to reflect His morality and ethics and not those of your society, no
matter how respected and exalted it may be. For it is in this realm that
matters of ethics and morality ends people up in court or in conflict over
the interpretation of what that means, given all the mitigating factors and
circumstances of the moral issue or ethical situation at hand. It is not
enough to stay compliant to the values that prevail in the world at this
point in time, as they are faulty.

Yes, I see your hand go up in the back of the lecture hall. I see the
objection on your face, that I have overgeneralized my remarks to indicate
that the world as we know it is in error and is untrained to determine what
Godly morals and ethics are. I see your defense of good people everywhere
and the Angels of the Churches are in your corner - and other angels as well!
- and yet, given the evolutionary level of humanity as it evolved over the
centuries, up until about fifty years ago, it has all been growing,
developing, through the aegis of advancement through trial and error. Not
overlooking Our Father's contact with and in each of His children, and the
availability of the Spirit of Truth, the basic building blocks of your
planetary culture had been altered and therefore thwarted in its early
beginnings. And so I hold to my comment about it being unable to truly
determine such standards as are inherent in the well-bred, well-reared,
well-trained child of God on a normal world, in association with the
planetary government and the Material Son and Daughter in place.

I observe the world here and make my comments NOT to disdain its standing,
not in the least. Why am I getting a picture here of handicap access? Are
we to pretend that we are not handicapped? Even while we clamor for the ramp?

Would there be questions yet? [No questions] I then will turn this meeting
back to your regularly scheduled teachers.

THOROAH: Thank you, Timothy.
