Hi Calvin,
Sorry I haven't brought you up to date about our new group. The Teaching Mission has been
keeping us fairly busy--just keeping up with reading other groups transcripts and
transcribing our own. I also had out-of-town visitors for two weeks.
We are still getting the group off the ground. Daniel Raphael has been TRing for us, as we
try to get someone else who can do it when Daniel leaves for his new assignment. We have
only been meeting every other week so far, although Jim and I would like it to be more
frequent. Being the only retirees, we are the only ones that have time. We are still
keeping our very solid UB study group on a weekly basis, so the TM is an additional
commitment time-wise. In addition to Daniel, there are 7 of us who form the core, and
several others that are interested but leery and only poke their heads in occassionally. We
aren't pushing them--they are in Father's hands and will come when ready. So far, we have
only met 4 times. The first was just Jim and I giving them an introduction and giving them
some selected things to read, like the seven steps to stillness. Daniel came for the second
meeting, where he gave us his intro, answered questions, and TRed Michael's message to
welcome our new group. The third meeting, Rayson greeted us briefly as our group teacher and
Daniel spent the rest of the time guiding us in techniques of stillness and the art of
listening. Our last meeting was a long lesson by Rayson, plus a long group discussion
requested by Rayson.
Jim gets a few words, but mostly visions by his teacher, Elisha. My teacher, Ana has yet to
get through my thick skull, although we are both trying and practicing. One other person in
the group is a good candidate for TRing, but needs more practice. I am doing the
transcribing since I am willing and have the time.
I haven't given up on correcting Abraham's lessons for your group. I am about ready to start
on 1997's corrections. It should go faster with each year, since I am finding fewer errors.
I've read them through and made obvious corrections up to the middle of 2000, but will go
back and take a more detailed look. The first time through, I get so caught up in the
lessons myself, I forget all about correcting. I am finding the process much like the
UB--every time I re-read the lessons, I get more out of it than I did the time before. I
went through 1996 at least 3 times, and will most likely go through them again some time,
more slowly so I can practice each lesson as your group does. (That is, if Rayson doesn't
cover the same material. We all get to learn the same lessons.)
Thanks for all your help and encouragement!
With love, Roxanne
