Prayer

Jim:  All powerful goodness, bountiful Father and merciful God, increase in 
me the wisdom that discovers my truest interests.  Strengthen my 
resolutions to perform what that interest dictates and accept my kind 
offices to thy other children as the only return within my power where thy 
continuing favor tells them. Amen.


JarEl:  TR, George.  Good evening, it is I, your teacher, JarEl.  It is 
good to be back among all of you once again.  It brings me great joy that 
we have cultivated this friendship between us.  I receive a universe of 
satisfaction from knowing that what we build here together now, will last 
for all eternity.  You may have thought it not possible for such 
friendships to exist.  They do exist, just as friendships with past loved 
ones still exist.  Just because someone has passed over does not mean that 
person has stopped being your friend.  Friendship endures and the 
connection is forever!  I value our friendship.  I value the things we have 
cultivated together.  I do not take it lightly and I do not regard you as 
less than me.  I view you as equals as you are in my eyes.  This helps me 
to appreciate every single one of you.  The friendships that you have with 
your family members or your fellow Urantians should be cherished and 
treasured.  These friendships live forever, they do not die nor do they 
dwindle away, the stronger the bond of friendship the more likely that you 
will see each other again after your resurrection.

The art of friendship is something that has to be experienced and 
learned.  Many of you have been successful on this subject and yet you 
still have much to learn.  Most of this is learned after you arrive on the 
Morontia Realms.  You will be given a Morontia Companion where you will 
learn true friendship.  The ultimate experience with friendship is with our 
Universal Father who shall be and forever our friend and Father.
To experience friendship with God is indescribable for it goes beyond all 
description, pleasure and joy.  It is like falling into the bliss of 
eternity and becoming smothered with warm and loving feelings.  In order to 
ultimately experience such infinite friendship you must first experience 
the friendships you have.  It is important to communicate and to open up in 
order to experience the ultimate friendship.  You probably felt you would 
never have a friend like me.  You probably could not fathom that an 
extra-terrestrial being from some other planet, from some other part of the 
universe could be your friend.

All things are possible in this universe.  All things are acquirer-able and 
nothing is ever forgotten or left behind and no good thing ever goes to 
waste.  You have a saying on your world: "All good things must come to an 
end."  However, I see it this way: all good things must move on, for 
nothing ever comes to an end in this universe.  Everything always moves on 
and moves forward.  Everything advances, grows, matures, evolves and 
spiritualizes.  Everything works for the one purpose of acquiring the 
Supreme; everything works for God.  So nothing is ever forgotten or left 
behind.  Especially friendships, for the friendships here on this earth 
shall last forever.  So cherish your friends and your friendships.  Think 
about making more friends so that when you arrive on the Morontia World you 
shall have many friends waiting for you and many more who will want to be 
your friend.  I, for one, feel privileged to know everyone of you.  You are 
on my long, long, long, list of friends, for I have many in this 
universe.  Look for eternity in your friendships.  Look for the evolution 
in your attitudes and remind yourself what you build lives forever.  Who 
you know, you shall know forever.

Are there any questions?

Stella:  My best friend is a woman named Blanch.  Her birthday would have 
been yesterday.  She would have been 85.  I have thought of her a great 
deal.  Do the people on the other-side grasp when we are thinking about them?

JarEl:  TR, George.  Every good thought or good intention gets a response 
on the other-side.  When you think good thoughts about someone who has 
crossed over, or you pray for them, or you do a ceremony for them, they 
know of your intentions and appreciate everything you do for them in their 
name.  So, yes, they are aware.

Stella:  What about the bad thoughts, do they hear that too?

JarEl:  TR George.  Yes, nothing is filtered out.  Truth is most 
important.  Even
though you may have bad thoughts about someone on the other-side, they do 
not look at it in a bad way.  They try to understand why you think that 
way.  They try to figure out if something in their lives has caused you to 
think such.  It is in their best interest to correct and remedy their short 
comings and learn from the situation.  Bad messages are not filtered 
out.  Truth is most important and the goodness which shall come from it.

Lucille:  JarEl, do they know our thoughts, the ones who have gone on?

JarEl:  TR, George.  They cannot read your mind perse.  They are not 
constantly in your head.  What is possible is for your Thought Adjuster to 
transmit your thoughts that you have of them and, yes, they receive them.

Lucille:  The thoughts and messages that I send to Hal will go through?

JarEl:  TR, George.  If that is your intention, yes.

Lucille:  JarEl, I want to make a comment.  Ten years ago is when we 
started this group in June of 1993.  You have certainly made a big 
impression upon my life the last ten years and I want to thank you.

JarEl:  TR, George.  For me it was like yesterday.  For ten years is but a 
blink in my eye.  I appreciate your acknowledgement and I look forward to 
ten more years.

Lucille:  I probably will not be around by then.

Stella:  I don't think I will be here either.

Jim:  I will be here JarEl.

JarEl:  TR, George.  Whether any of you will be here does not matter.  What 
matters is that you are here now and that you appreciate the messages that 
I have brought you and that you have acknowledged my presence.  Thank you 
all for giving me a memorable ten years of my life.  I look forward to many 
more years.  Are there any other questions?

Lucille:  JarEl, will you contact us in the Morontia Realm?

JarEl:  TR, George.  All things are possible in our Father's Universe, 
Lucille.  You must remember that and if you wish to contact me, by all 
means, do so.

Lucille:  I will JarEl.

Stella:  About thirty years ago I heard a gentleman lecture, I think he was 
Buddhist, I am not sure.   He said that there was a chant 
called:  Nom-Me-Ah-Oh-Re-Gay-Keyo, that if you said it and you chanted it, 
you would get your desires, whatever you wanted.  Well, I tried it, maybe 
about thirty years ago and that was to find a rabbit which was blocks 
away.  It was a pet rabbit that belonged to my son.  I chanted it and I was 
told were the rabbit was.  Sure enough it was the rabbit.  Yesterday, I 
lost a puppy, so I chanted to see if we could find that dog.  Well, we 
found it tonight.  So I am wondering is this a prayer or what is this thing 
anyway?  Is it the same as a Christian prayer?

JarEl:  TR, George.  Well, Stella, the words that you chant may have no 
meaning as far as your understanding of them, but it is the intention more 
than the words.  The intention that you had in finding whatever you were 
looking for, that is what brings you the answer.  This chant is just a 
tool, like many other tools that you have.  You may use these tools as you 
wish.  Everything that you put forth with good intentions is 
respected.  This is as the old saying: "Ask and it shall be given 
you.  Seek and you shall find.  Knock and it shall be opened to you.  For 
everyone who asks will receive.  He who seeks will find.  And to him who 
knocks, the door will be opened."  Pray and you shall receive an 
answer.  Let me remind you, Stella, you are a very special 
person.  Whenever you pray for something, I am sure that there are many who 
are willing to help you.  You may receive your answers a lot sooner than 
most other people.  Many times people pray for things and it seems to them 
that they receive no answer.  That is not always true, for many times 
people are not ready to receive the answer or they cannot recognize it when 
they do receive it.  Many of you in this room pray and receive your answers 
and it is because you are ready.  You acknowledged it and you learned to 
recognize the answers.  These chants will only work for those who are ready 
to receive the answers.  That is the secret behind every prayer, it is the 
preparation of your mind.  God is always giving you answers, even  to 
questions you did not ask.  It is you who needs to listen.  It is you who 
needs to open up and receive these answers that are coming your way.  It is 
you who needs to prepare to receive these answers.

Lucille:  I have things happen to me, and I was not thinking about 
anything, just nice big surprises.

JarEl:  TR, George.  You deserve them.  For those are your fruits.  You 
have lived a great life Lucille and you are receiving some gifts which are 
but a glimpse of what you are about to receive when you reach the other-side.

Lucille:  I am very thankful for everything I have.

JarEl:  TR, George.  I am very thankful for you, and all of you in this room.

Lucille:  Thank you, JarEl.

JarEl:  TR, George.  Good night.
